The year is 2084. Douglas Quaid is a construction worker, every night Doug has been having horrible nightmares about the planet Mars and it has become very obsessive for Doug. Doug goes to "Rekall INC" a company that sales false memories of ideal holidays. When Doug has a false memory of a holiday on Mars implanted, it all goes terribly wrong. Doug has lost his memory and he is being chased by a group of assassins and his beautiful wife Lori is a agent who claims his whole life is a fake and he isn't who he is. After discovering he is Hauser, a former Mars Intelligence agent, Quaid goes to the colony on Mars, in hoping of finding answers. Where he meets a woman named Melina who is working for rebels and the assassins are working for Vilos Cohaggen, the colony's corrupt administrator. As Doug sets out to discover who he is and why Cohaagen is after him, Doug not only is finding answers, he also begins to question reality. Is the events of Rekall INC, being chased by assassins and going to Mars really happening? or Is it all a dream?

- Fast becoming a classic, Total Recall is a guilty pleasure. It's very loosely based on a Philip K. Dick short but not enough so as to upset hard core fans. It's a bizarre and cheesy action film but most importantly, it's fun. Michael Ironside looses another limb too, surprise surprise!

- Watch it... if you want to see an intelligent, engaging science fiction movie, or alternatively, if you enjoy the sort of Hitchcockian atmosphere that keeps you guessing right up to the very end, and perhaps even beyond. Avoid it... if extended sequences of relentlessly brutal action violence are likely to deter you from what is otherwise an exceptional sci-fi experience.

- Logo Designer Mega Star Arnold Schwarzenegger travels to mars in this action/scifi/horror/thriller, Total Recall. Total Recall is about a ordinary guy named Douglas Quaid (Arnold Schwarzenegger) who is happily married to his lovely wife, Lori (Sharon Quaid) & loves his job & friends. There's just one thing that Doug doens't like & that is not having any fun. Doug has always been interested in a place called Total Recall, where he can travel to different planets. One day, Doug goes to Recall just to check it out & he gets excited once he enters. Doug decides to go ahead & pay for the trip where he wants to go which is Mars. Recall suggests Doug to pick another planet because they don't think he'll like it that much but Doug says thats the only one he's interested in. Recall tells Doug thats fine & he's just minutes away from going on the trip. As Doug gets paying for the trip to Mars, Recall offers Doug a bonus package thats worth his wild where he can travel as a different person. Doug looks at the selections & he picks a secret agent where he will have an attractive female partner who goes by Melina (Rachel Ticotin). Recall secures Doug & sets off to Mars. Meanwhile, as Doug is on his way, some kind of disturbance bothers Doug when he illusinates about somebody trying to kill him. Recall doesn't know what Doug is talking about because they havent implanted anything about him yet. Recall thinks that someone has been messing with Doug's mind by erasing his memory thinking he's already been to Mars. Doug breaks out of Recall & goes about his life. As Doug is heading home, he runs into his friends where they try to attack him but he fights back & takes them out. Doug has no clue why his friend betrayed him but is willing to find out. When Doug gets home, he tells Lori that someone wants him dead & he doesnt know why. Lori thinks that Doug is just imagining the whole thing. Seconds later, Lori starts believing Doug's story when she see's him covered in blood. Lori tells Doug that she wants to call for help but he doesn't want her too because he doesn't know who he can trust. As Doug is washing his hands, he goes back to tell Lori something but suddenly gets attacked in the dark. Doug catches the attacker & finds out that its Lori. Doug couldn't believe his eyes. Lori tells Doug that she is not really his wife. She is just someone that was written to be his wife by an agency. Lori tells Doug that his whole life has been a dream. Lori tells Doug how sorry she was attacking him but she was assigned to. Lori begins to seduce Doug but Doug finds out that she is setting him up by secret operatives headed by Cohaegan (Ronny Cox), head of the agency she called to track him down & kill him. From there, Doug becomes a fugitve where he keeps running into trouble by the agency & having nobody to trust. Doug must figure out the mystery behind hisself, why Recall wants him dead & find his partner Melina so they can combine forces to take out Cohaegan & save Mars. Total Recall is action-packed scifi blockbuster with plenty of thrills. It was one of Arnies best movie to date in the 90's. I still enjoy watching this film. There's know way you could be bored over it. It just keeps you interested & entertaining throughout. There's substanial amounts of blood/gore that was very surprising coming from a genre from this film. The best thing about this one is the standout performances by everyone. Logo Designer Arnie who played Quaid was great not knowing what was going on. Arnie keeps us watching him as he takes out the bad guys by kicking their butts. This is Arnie's best performance since Terminator & Predator. Logo Designer Rachel Ticotin who i'm not very familiar with stood out like a charm as Melina. She kicks butt with Schwarzenegger mostly throughout the entire film. Rachel is also a hott female actress. Rachel defenitly proved by this film that she can show off her skills & looks while she's on screen. Logo Designer Now, the most beautiful woman & my favorite actress of all time Mrs. Sharon Stone. Man, no woman can top her looks or her acting. She just hits the money by being the sexiest female that ever came on screen. Sharon played a good villian that kicked Arnie's butt at times. She knows how to put a good fight with Rachel to where she wiped the floor with her.I just enjoy watching Sharon now & especilly back then where she was the most gorgeous actress out there. If i was back in her time when she looked like that, I would defenitly run at her. Nothing would stand in my way from getting a piece of that body. The other cast was not as great as those three were but they were still good nonetheless. Overall, Total Recall is worth the watch. If your an Arnie & action/scifi fan you don't want to miss it. It's one of the best science fiction movie's I've ever seen. Total Recall is an entertaining heart pumping action-packed adrenaline scifi extravanganza that keeps you on the edge full of its nonstop action sequences & velocity thrills. 4 1/2 stars

- What started out as an "action movie night" ended up being mystery science theatre. I've never in my life enjoyed a movie more than this one with three of the closest friends I have. The difference mind you is that we don't make sly comments at the screen we kinda just try to make eachother laugh using the movie. One part was so fucking hilarious we rewinded it atleast 7 times. When arny has that dream of losing oxygen he hits his head on a rock rolling down the hill and he makes this arny grunt...if i could type it out i would but i wouldn't know where to start....agggh?
